Bata Shoes launched their new range called Insolia and I was so blessed to be spoiled with a pair in the loveliest deep red – yayness!!!
Now, as a heavier girl, I tend to avoid heels as they can be quite uncomfortable and painful – I guess being heavier on my feet adds more pressure on the forefoot – BUT – as you can see, the shoe is designed to reduce forefoot pressure and allows for even weight distribution – and let me tell you – THEY AIN’T LYING Y’ALL!
I was able to dine and dance the night away in these babies with zero discomfort! I’ll definitely be adding a few pairs from the range to my shoe collection!
Thank you to Bata Shoes for the spoil and for getting it precisely right with this design!
Thanks for stopping by and stay sassy now!
It has been a VERY long time since my last post but allow me to let you inside my head for a bit…
At the beginning of the year I decided that I would only pay for clothing that fit the following criteria:
- The item was a classic/timeless piece or
- It was something that I personally designed and
- It’s something that was tailor-made to fit me and
- Aim for quality over quantity
So in essence that meant that I really had to put a lot of thought into my purchases – no more adding items to cart just because!
Which brings me to this Timeless Trench Coat from the fabulous Fablane Online – purchased at a ridiculously affordable price – absolute value for money because the quality is fantastic!

I love that it’s light-weight which is perfect for mid-season weather as well as layering for the colder days approaching . I went with an all black outfit to put emphasis on the coat and I think it worked well!
Thank you Michelle @ FabLane Online – you NEVER disappoint!
Stay tuned for more classic and unique items I’ve added to my wardrobe in the last few months…and stay sassy now!
So…I chose the wrong day to wear a dress – it’s windy out here!!!
Also, please excuse the creases – I’ve been sitting at my desk waiting for an opportunity to take my pics…
Moving along swiftly…Hey, did I mention I’m wearing a belt around my neck – ha ha! Yes, it’s supposed to be on the dress but I kinda liked it more around my neck…feeling all daring LOL!
But on serious note – I like to experiment with accessories , a simple belt could be worn in many different ways, head, arm, neck, just play around and see what works best!

Hey Gorgeous Peeps!
Firstly, let me say that South-African weather is totally bipolar. Yesterday was extremely cold and wet and today, albeit a little windy, the sun’s shining and the weather’s fine – as if yesterday never happened at all!
I might have been more than a little excited when the weather turned cold and rainy yesterday, just so I could pull out this sleeveless Melton coat I purchased from Fablane Online – ha ha!
Thank you Michelle at Fablane Online – your service and the quality of your goods are superb – totally worth every cent!

Quote of the Day:
Wow!!!! All About That Bass turns 1 – that’s right – 1 year ago I hit the publish button on my very 1st post. I had no idea what to expect as I set off on this blogging adventure, all I knew was that I had a deep desire to reach out to those who thought that you had to look a certain way to look or feel beautiful.
It wasn’t (and still isn’t) about the likes or comments or the number of followers – NO – it’s never about something as superficial as that – this blog was birthed from a desire to uplift and inspire women just like me – who often measure their worth by the number on the scale.
Looking back on the past year – I have to admit – this blog has forced me to grow in ways I never imagined. It has been such an amazing journey of learning, sharing, friendship and most of all gratitude!
Every e- mail subscriber, Facebook “like”, share and comment!
Everyone who follows me on Instagram and Pinterest!
All of the likes, pins and comments on the posts I’ve shared!
The sweet bloggers who include me in their blogroll!
A huge and heart-warming THANK YOU!
To celebrate, I will be giving away these 3 Revlon products to 1 lucky reader, all you have to do to enter is comment on this post and tell me what you love most about this blog!
(Please note – only people in S.A)
Thank you for reading & remember to stay sassy
What a week this has been!!!!
I was so spoilt this week by so many that I had to make sure that it wasn’t November (my birthday month)!
One of those spoils are these cute sneakers I’m wearing – my SIL blessed me with them last night so I thought I’d do a post wearing them.
It got me pondering on the concept of giving – we sometimes undervalue what giving can do for the receiver and also the giver! In my opinion – giving is a natural response of LOVE – and what are we if we don’t have love right?!?!
So, to all who showed me love this week – thank you! I value you!

Yes, I know I could’ve just said assymtrecial but I like the sound of lacking symmetry – ha ha!
I love this assymetrical top, comfy and light, and hides all my problem areas.
Paired here with my pleather leggings and some heels, and it’s perfect for a night out with the hubster!

Hey, hey, it’s Friday!!!!
Today my outfit is very relaxed and sporty. You’d think I was going to hit a 5km run or something – but believe me – I AM NOT! Ha ha!
I had this cool tee custom-made (like many others I own) by the awesome peeps over at Tiffany Morgan Creations. I just love the quality of their work and their efficiency. I literally get my orders within a few days. Thank you Janice and the Tiffany Morgan Creations crew. You guys rock!!!!

Just kidding – black is #boss!
I really do love black, but just because I’m a plus size chick, does not mean I can’t be colourful too!
I find myself wearing/buying more colourful items the more comfortable I become in my own skin. I’ll admit, I still struggle with the bare arm thing – It’s really difficult to drop those negative thoughts about your body once you’ve been living with them for so long.
However, small steps are still steps right?!?!?!?!?
I’m wearing another jumpsuit, which also tells me that I definitely am getting there in terms of being more confident in my body. I wouldn’t give jumpsuits a second look not so long ago.
I do love the harem style and colour of this one – add to that the fact that it’s made from stretchy fabric and it’s a total winner for me.
Oh and did I mention it has pockets?!?! Ha ha!!!
